Someone famous once said …

You know those things that stick in your head for years and years and years, Dear Reader? When you heard something really interesting that’s quite profound or particularly pertinent to your life, but you’ll be damned if you can remember the exact quote or who said it? Maybe a decade ago, maybe more I heard something attributed, as I remember it, to an American president from sometime in the early part of the 1900s or earlier. I might have misheard it, or it’s provenance, and it’s entirely possible it was a fictitious quote, but as I remember it, someone famous once said …

A man should have sex every day before he goes to work so he is not thinking about it all day.

Certainly from my own point of view, I know there’s some truth in this. I have had many unproductive mornings, when I’ve struggled to think about work, or domestic chores, plagued by thoughts of sexual debauchery and lascivious hedonism.. But if I afford myself a wank at lunch time, the world changes, the fog clears, and I am productive and diligent human once again.

If anyone can confirm this quote, or whether it’s apocryphal, I’d be very interested to know.

  1. I couldn’t agree more. I would love it if a certain someone would give me permission to touch myself so I could focus on my studies. BUT, I dare not text him to even see if he is awake.

  2. I would love to do it every day, but not being 24/7 means unlikely and like thedreamingsub I wouldn’t DARE text him to ask….. I am too scared of waking him up.

  3. I really like the morning too. Nice way to start the day…invigorating!

    Bisous AM,
    Dawn
